Nicola McLean’s Wedding Jewels

London Jewellery Designer commissioned to produce Nicola McLean’s wedding day jewels!

Nicola McLean married Peterborough footballer Tommy Williams on Saturday 13th June 2009 at a fairytale style wedding, and our client Carrie Yeo London was selected by Nicola McLean to custom design and produce her wedding day jewellery as well as her bridesmaids jewellery.

Nicola had a bespoke design consultation with Carrie Yeo at their London studio back in April to discuss her wedding day jewellery and what she look she wanted. “Nicola and Tommy’s wedding colour theme was bright orange with tones of amber and mocha so Nicola wanted gold jewellery with crystals that fitted in with the overall colour scheme. We also took into account her wedding dress that had subtle tones of gold, cappuccino and ivory when deciding on her wedding jewellery. Nicola’s ornate dress was by My Lady and because of the level of detail on the dress we worked on a tiara that would compliment this style without overpowering it. We used crystals from Swarovski Elements as many dress designers use these so we were able to match the colours of the dress exactly for a co-ordinated look” commented Carrie Yeo.

Carrie Yeo London made the Astor Flower Tiara in gold and used Colorado Topaz coloured crystals from their colour chart and larger diamantes on the band. Carrie Yeo London made earrings for Nicola to match the tiara. Because of the detailed embellishment on the neckline of the dress Nicola wore the Astor Flower Bracelet instead of a necklace to complete her wedding day look.

Nicola loves strong colours and although her bridesmaids wore ivory Nicola chose Topaz coloured crystal for their jewellery to create a unique look. Each bridesmaid wore a customised Astor Flower Headband, earrings and necklace. Each girl also wore a Liberty Bracelet in Topaz coloured crystal. Nicola’s youngest bridesmaid wore a cluster of our Delphinium Hair Flowers which were mounted onto an ivory satin Alice band, and a smaller version of our Deco Droplet Necklace in gold with Topaz.
